The Dragon and the Unicorn The unicorn appears to the princess Arianna and draws her deep into the ancient forest where they teach her about its wonders. The Dragon and the Unicorn is an allegory about the Old Growth Forest of the Pacific Northwest. A princess learns about the important ecology of the ancient forest and teaches her father, the king. A huge tree in the ancient forest seems to dwarf Lynne's friend, photographer Gary Braasch who took many of the photos Lynne used as reference.
